The municipalities of Seville once again revive their free or symbolic price summer cinemas. Tomares, Camas, Gines, Pilas and Castilleja de la Cuesta are some of those that have already announced their schedules for July and August.

Summer in the province of Seville is not just about sun and heat: it is also a tradition of outdoor cinema. Several municipalities in the Aljarafe and other regions have confirmed their screening cycles for the nights of July and August 2026, with free entry in most cases. The offerings range from major premieres to classics for all audiences, making it a perfect plan to combat the heat.

Tomares: Tuesday cinema at the Patio de las Buganvillas

The Town Hall of Tomares is repeating the initiative that was so well received last year. Every Tuesday in July and August, the Patio de las Buganvillas of the council transforms into an outdoor cinema. Screenings begin at 22:30 hours, both in July and August, and entry is free.

Additionally, there will be a refreshment service with drinks, tapas, and popcorn. The council recommends arriving early to secure a good spot. The programme includes films for all ages, designed for children, adults, and seniors to enjoy.

Camas: cinema in the La Santa Cruz neighbourhood

In Camas, the summer cinema kicks off in the La Santa Cruz neighbourhood. The Town Hall has prepared a varied programme for the nights of July and August. As explained by the council, the winter cinema blanket is swapped for a chair and cooler, adapting to the summer heat.

Sessions are free and outdoors. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and snacks. The family atmosphere and the evening breeze make this event one of the most anticipated of the summer in the town.

Gines: 'Wednesday Cinema' in parks and green spaces

Gines is bringing back its popular 'Wednesday Cinema', which will take place from July 8 to September 2. Every Wednesday, there will be a free screening in different parks and green spaces throughout the municipality. The Town Hall recommends bringing your own chair for added comfort.

This initiative has established itself as one of the most awaited cultural and leisure proposals of the summer in the town. The complete programme can be consulted on the Gines Town Hall website. The aim is to bring cinema to all corners of the municipality, taking advantage of the natural surroundings.

Pilas and Castilleja de la Cuesta join the offer

Pilas is celebrating its XXIV Summer Nights and Cinema Cycle, which began on July 9 with the film 'How to Train Your Dragon'. Screenings take place at the Auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura, in the Pyramid, at 22:00 hours. The ticket price is €1, with proceeds going to the SOSFam association.

Castilleja de la Cuesta is also joining the summer cinema with screenings in the Parque del Parlamento. The next event is on July 15 at 22:00 hours, featuring the film 'Dragon Keeper'. Entry is free, and bringing a chair is recommended.

For residents of these municipalities and the entire province, summer cinemas are an opportunity to enjoy outdoor leisure without spending much money. They also promote social and cultural life in the towns, creating a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere. Most sessions are accessible for people with reduced mobility.

In short, the summer of 2026 once again transforms the nights of Seville into a giant cinema. You just have to choose the municipality, grab your chair, and let yourself be carried away by the magic of the seventh art under the stars.
