The 45th edition of the Pedestrian Race 'Manuel Jiménez Panal' will take place on September 12. The registration period is now open and ends on August 21 or when spots run out.
The countdown for one of the most anticipated sporting events in the Morón calendar has begun. The Sports Delegate of the Morón de la Frontera Town Hall, Rubén Torres, has presented the main novelties of the 45th edition of the Pedestrian Race 'Manuel Jiménez Panal', which will be held on September 12 and whose registration period will remain open until August 21 or until the available spots are filled.
Following the success achieved in the previous edition, which recorded the highest number of participants in history with over 800 runners across various categories, the Town Hall continues the line of work initiated in 2025 to further consolidate this event as one of the major sporting dates in the province.
As explained by the delegate, the organization will again introduce improvements aimed at providing an even more attractive experience for both runners and the public. Among the main novelties is a new route, designed to bring the race closer to more residents and enhance the atmosphere in the streets.
This edition will see the Pedestrian Race passing through the Barrio de Santa María, one of the areas with the greatest tradition and following of the event. The route will also cover iconic places such as the descent of San Miguel, calle Ánimas, calle Soria, and Paseo de la Alameda, spaces that will once again become stages of animation and support for the athletes.
Another novelty will be the official t-shirt, designed by the local artist Mario Vidal, a piece that pays tribute to the city's identity with an image featuring the Gallo de Morón, one of the most representative symbols of the municipality.
Additionally, the organization will enhance the refreshment points along the route and improve the runner's bag, with the aim of continuing to elevate the quality of the event.
The pace of registrations invites optimism. In just the first few days since the opening of the period, over 100 registered participants have already been recorded, a figure that reflects the growing interest in participating in a race that, year after year, has become a true celebration of sport in the lead-up to the Morón Fair.
The Sports Delegation encourages all citizens, both regular runners and those wanting to try this event for the first time, to be part of an edition that will once again fill the streets with sport, camaraderie, and a festive atmosphere.
