The Flamenco Festival Ciudad de Tomares will celebrate its 51st edition on July 25 in the Jardines del Conde. Tickets are already on sale for 25 euros.
Tomares is preparing for one of its most emblematic cultural events. The Flamenco Festival Ciudad de Tomares reaches its 51st edition this year, establishing itself as one of the oldest festivals in Andalusia. It will take place on Saturday, July 25, at 22:00 in the Jardines del Conde, an outdoor setting that promises a magical night.
The line-up, as reported by the Town Hall of Tomares, features prominent artists from the current flamenco scene. Although the specific names have not been fully revealed, the organisation assures that it will be a luxury line-up that will delight flamenco enthusiasts. Individual tickets cost 25 euros and are already available on tomaresticket and the Giglon website.
A Summer with Free Cinema and Solidarity Gastronomy
But the festival is not the only cultural proposal for the residents of Tomares. The Town Hall has also presented the summer cinema programme in the Buganvilla courtyard. Every Tuesday during the summer season, starting at 22:30, family films will be screened for free until capacity is reached. The cycle began this past Tuesday and will feature titles such as Wild Robot, The Big House, and Jurassic World: The Rebirth.
Additionally, the Jardines del Conde will continue to be a gastronomic and leisure meeting point every Friday and Saturday until August 8, except on the night of the festival. The Sacramental Brotherhood of Tomares is responsible for energising this space with its traditional fried fish and cod, along with other tapas at popular prices. All proceeds go entirely to the social work of the brotherhood.
Thursdays at the Beach: A Participation Success
Another municipal initiative that is receiving a great response is 'Thursdays at the Beach'. The Town Hall provides buses that leave at 09:00 and return around 19:30. Tickets, which must be purchased in advance from Monday to Wednesday by proving residency in Tomares, have a general price of 5 euros. There are discounts for retirees, pensioners, registered job seekers at the SAE, people over 60, and individuals with disabilities.
The flamenco festival, summer cinema, gastronomic nights, and beach excursions make up a varied leisure offer for all audiences. Residents of Tomares thus have multiple options to enjoy the summer without leaving the municipality or with organised getaways. Tickets for the festival are already on sale, and it is recommended to purchase them in advance due to the expected high demand.
