Morón gives away dog waste collectors in its 'For a clean and civic Morón' campaign

The Town Hall of Morón de la Frontera launches a campaign to raise awareness about collecting dog waste, with free distribution of collectors until stocks last.

The Town Hall of Morón de la Frontera, through the Animal Welfare Delegation, has launched the campaign “For a clean and civic Morón!” to remind pet owners of their responsibility to collect waste from public spaces.

The initiative aims to raise awareness from an educational and constructive approach about a simple gesture that helps keep streets, squares, and public spaces cleaner and healthier. The delegation reminds that waste should be collected with a bag and disposed of in the nearest bin or container.

Additionally, it is recommended to carry water with vinegar or detergent to clean pet urine, thus protecting facades and urban furniture. As part of the campaign, the delegation will carry out a free promotion of dog waste collectors.

Interested parties can collect them while stocks last at the headquarters of the Animal Welfare Delegation, located at Calle Cantarrana, 33, Edificio de las Filipensas, door 5, from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 13:00 hours.

The Animal Welfare delegate, Ignacio Cala, has stated that “having a cleaner Morón is a shared concern and a responsibility for all. From the Town Hall, we want to contribute to raising awareness and facilitating correct actions for pet owners.”

“Responsibility towards our pets also implies responsibility towards our neighbours and the space we share. That is why we believe it is essential to continue fostering a civic awareness that allows us to have a Morón that is cleaner, more cared for, and respectful for everyone,” highlighted the delegate.

With this action, the Town Hall aims to provide pet owners with the necessary means to fulfill a responsibility that benefits the entire community. A small gesture from each person contributes to building a cleaner, more cared for, and respectful Morón every day, insist the council.

The campaign, which is permanent, adds to other municipal initiatives for cleanliness and civility, and seeks to involve all residents in the care of shared spaces.
