The Town Hall of Los Palacios y Villafranca has secured a grant of €85,000 from the Diputación de Sevilla. The funds will be used to draft six technical projects ranging from leisure areas to emergency plans and energy efficiency.

The Town Hall of Los Palacios y Villafranca has received a financial boost of €85,000 from the Diputación de Sevilla. The resolution, communicated on July 8, will allow the municipality to design the foundations of its upcoming public infrastructures and meet the mandatory technical requirements to compete with guarantees for future external funding calls.

Parks, tracks, and roundabouts: the leisure and mobility plan

The aid package is distributed across several interventions aimed at community leisure and mobility. The allocation dedicates €17,303 to the Parque Punto de Encuentro "A tu Vera" project, conceived as a family gathering space. Additionally, €18,029 is reserved to define a youth Pumptrack track on Alfred Nobel Avenue.

In the area of road infrastructure, the Town Hall will invest €18,119 in designing a new roundabout at the northern access of the municipality, specifically at the end of the Parque de los Hermanamientos. The aim is to improve traffic flow and safety at the entry from Seville.

Emergency plans, accessibility, and energy efficiency

The funding also covers the updating of local protection and sustainability regulations. The municipality will dedicate €7,199 to the development of the Municipal Territorial Emergency Plan, while another €17,883 will fund the Municipal Accessibility Plan to progressively eliminate architectural barriers in public spaces.

The last block of aid, amounting to €6,465, will focus on conducting an energy evaluation audit in municipal properties and buildings. With these documents, the local government aims to have mature proposals to immediately apply for funds allocated by state, regional, or European administrations.

The mayor, Juan Manuel Valle, emphasised the value of this financial boost: "This aid is excellent news for Los Palacios y Villafranca because it allows us to start technically planning very important projects for the future of the municipality."

An investment portfolio in progress

These six technical assists are part of a broader planning strategy currently being implemented by the Town Hall. The technical offices are simultaneously advancing in drafting the changing rooms and stands for the Rafael Curado Tejero athletics track, creating the Municipal Tree Guide, and designing the Municipal Noise Strategic Map.

For residents, these actions will mean tangible improvements in their daily lives: a new park for family leisure, a bike track for young people, a roundabout that will streamline traffic at the entry from Seville, and, in the medium term, more accessible streets and more efficient municipal buildings. The execution timelines for the projects will be known once they are drafted, which is expected in the coming months.
