The Town Hall of Los Palacios and Villafranca has unveiled the official image of its 2026 Fair, which will take place from September 24 to 27. The event, held in the Plaza de Miguel Murube, also served to present the programme for the Pre-Fair and the Municipal Booth.
The Town Hall of Los Palacios and Villafranca has officially presented the Announcement Poster for the 2026 Fair, which will be held from September 24 to 27. The event took place in the Plaza de Miguel Murube, a location with special significance for this celebration, and was attended by the mayor, Juan Manuel Valle, and the delegate for Festivities and Tourism, Juan Manuel Bernal.
During the presentation, which gathered numerous locals, the complete programme for the Pre-Fair and the main days was revealed. Among the activities leading up to the inauguration are the eighth edition of the 7-a-side Football Tournament between Booths, traditional equestrian activities such as the Horse Ribbon Races or the Mule Stone Dragging Contest, and the grand Pre-Fair concert on Saturday, September 19, featuring performances by Radio Macandé, Rosalinda Galán, and Kike and Manu.
The Municipal Booth will once again be one of the epicentres of the fair activities, with a programme that includes a tribute to Isabel Pantoja by Rocío Guerra, performances by the Fernando Guerrero Music Band, Requiebros, Rocío Soto, Dore Cruz, Erika Leiva, and Manuel Orta, as well as the children's show Los Canta Juegos and the participation of local dance academies and the Orquesta Nueva Luna throughout all the days.
One of the most anticipated announcements was the confirmation that the Amusement Park will celebrate on Thursday, the 24th, a local holiday and Children's Day, with affordable prices. Additionally, there will be a daily time slot without music, from 19:00 to 21:00, to facilitate enjoyment for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), reinforcing the municipal commitment to a more inclusive Fair.
The event had a particularly emotional moment with the tribute to the Domínguez family. The Town Hall recognised Ángeles Domínguez López on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the poster she created for the 1996 Fair, presenting her with an institutional memento. Following this, the poster for this year was unveiled, created by Ricardo Domínguez López, a student from the Municipal Painting Workshops at the Casa de la Cultura, who was honoured by the mayor in recognition of his work.
The author explained the meaning and details of his work before the screening of the promotional video for the 2026 Fair, featuring members of the Municipal Flamenco School La Unión, who also received municipal recognition. Mayor Juan Manuel Valle congratulated Ricardo Domínguez López and highlighted the Town Hall's commitment to local talent, emphasising the importance of the Municipal Painting Workshops as a space for training and artistic creation.
“It is a satisfaction to continue supporting the artists we have in our municipal workshops, because they bring forth the talent of many locals who enrich the cultural heritage of our town with their work,” the mayor highlighted. Valle also thanked the work of the Delegation of Festivities and Tourism for maintaining this initiative that allows local artists to sign the promotional image of the Fair.
The mayor emphasised the effort made to configure a broad, diverse, and participatory programme, designed so that the Fair is experienced weeks before its official inauguration. “The programme prepared by the Delegation of Festivities, in collaboration with the groups and booth owners, begins much earlier than the official inauguration of the Fair and creates that atmosphere that makes our celebration so special,” he noted.
Valle encouraged all locals to actively participate in the activities organised during the Pre-Fair and the Fair, highlighting that the involvement of the community is one of the main values of this celebration. “The atmosphere that is felt as the booths are set up is what infects all of us who are fairgoers and contributes to making the Fair of Los Palacios and Villafranca one of the most important and attended in the province of Seville,” he affirmed.
The Fair of Los Palacios and Villafranca, whose documented origins date back to 1920, thus consolidates itself as one of the most prominent festive events in the province. With the poster already presented and the programme finalised, the municipality is putting the finishing touches on preparations for a celebration that, once again, expects to gather thousands of visitors around the Fairgrounds.
