The Town Hall of Tomares has launched 26 Summer Camps and six Municipal Sports Schools since June 23, offering a combination of sports, leisure, and learning for hundreds of children and young people in the municipality.
The mayor of Tomares, José María Soriano, accompanied by the Youth Councillor, Alejandro García, visited the facilities where the activities take place this Thursday. During the tour, Soriano highlighted that the initiative aims for children to enjoy an active summer while families find support for work-life balance.
26 camps and six schools for all ages
The summer programme includes 22 Innova Camps, divided into two categories: Innova Kids, for children aged 3 to 10, and Innova Teens, for young people aged 9 to 16. In addition, there are four Sports Camps focused on pre-sport, football, basketball, and skating.
The six Municipal Sports Schools offer swimming for babies, initiation and improvement, aquagym, tennis, and paddle during July, August, and September, depending on the modality.
The Innova Camps propose different themes each week tailored to each age group. The youngest explore topics ranging from Extreme Engineering to dinosaurs, passing through Egypt, mammals, or art. Teenagers can delve into video games, cooking, urban dance, programming, drone piloting, or 3D design and printing.
Extended hours and dining services
Activities take place from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours, with the option to extend hours from 7:30 to 15:00 hours. Additionally, they offer dining services to meet the needs of families. All groups are supervised by specialized monitors, and from 13:00 hours, participants can swim in the municipal pool.
The Town Hall maintains its commitment to inclusion: families of children with special educational needs can contact the Sports Department for each case to be studied individually.
Registrations open while places are available
Registrations remain open through the Sports web portal of the Town Hall of Tomares and the platforms set up for each programme, as long as places are available. For parents who have not yet planned their children's summer, this offer remains a viable option for reconciliation and, at the same time, allows children to learn while having fun.
With 26 camps and six schools, Tomares demonstrates that summer is not just a time for rest, but also an opportunity to grow, play, and, why not, discover if robotics or paddle is their thing.
