On July 25, Tomares will host the 51st edition of its Flamenco Festival in the Gardens of Hacienda Santa Ana. The lineup features María Terremoto and Pedro El Granaíno, and the event pays tribute to the singer Manuel Vallejo.

The Sevillian municipality of Tomares is preparing for a new edition of its classic Flamenco Festival Ciudad de Tomares, which this year celebrates its 51st anniversary. The event will take place on Saturday, July 25 at 10:00 PM in the Gardens of Hacienda Santa Ana, right in the town centre. Tickets are already on sale for 25 euros, and a large turnout is expected to enjoy a night of top-level singing and dancing.

A Luxurious Lineup for the 51st Anniversary

The festival, one of the oldest in the province of Seville, has presented a lineup that combines tradition with new figures. The singer María Terremoto, heir to the Jerez lineage, will be accompanied by Nono Jero on guitar. Pedro El Granaíno, one of the most recognised voices in contemporary flamenco, will also perform, with Patrocinio Hijo on guitar. Completing the cast are Angelita Montoya, bringing the Triana stamp, José Valencia, and Fernando Cortés El Lele, representing the Sevillian essence.

The grand finale will be delivered by the dancer Águeda Saavedra, an emerging figure in dance, accompanied by Juan Campallo. The festival will be dedicated to the memory of Manuel Vallejo, a historic singer who received the Golden Key of Singing. According to the organisers, "his name is part of the cultural heritage of Andalusia and the collective memory of flamenco."

A festival that has seen legends like Camarón de la Isla, El Lebrijano, or Miguel Poveda, and continues to be a reference in the Andalusian flamenco calendar.

Tickets, Location, and How to Get There

Tickets are now available through the platforms Giglon and Tomares Ticket, priced at 25 euros (management fees not included). The capacity is limited, so it is recommended to purchase them in advance. The festival takes place in the Gardens of Hacienda Santa Ana, located next to the Local Police and near the Tomares U.D. football field.

For attendees arriving by car, the area has free public parking both in front of the Local Police and in the vicinity of the football field. Although the centre of Tomares is pedestrianised, there are several adjacent streets where parking is possible without issues. Residents of Tomares and nearby municipalities such as Bormujos, Castilleja de la Cuesta, or Mairena del Aljarafe have easy access by car or public transport.

Over Half a Century of Flamenco History

With 51 editions behind it, the Flamenco Festival Ciudad de Tomares has established itself as an unmissable event for flamenco lovers in the province. Legends such as Camarón de la Isla, El Lebrijano, or Miguel Poveda have graced its stage, and the event continues to support established artists and new talents. This year, the tribute to Manuel Vallejo adds an emotional touch to an evening that promises to be unforgettable.

For the residents of Tomares and the Aljarafe region, it is an opportunity to enjoy a top-level cultural event without leaving the area. And with summer as the backdrop, the night of July 25 shapes up as a perfect occasion for those seeking authentic flamenco, steeped in tradition and outdoors. Tickets are selling fast, so it’s best not to leave it until the last minute.
