An image circulating for hours on WhatsApp groups and social media has caused alarm among the residents of El Cuervo de Sevilla and nearby towns. It claimed that a death had occurred at the Municipal Pool. The Town Hall acted quickly to categorically deny what it describes as a rumour.
In a statement released through its official channels, the council wanted to convey reassurance to the public. "This fact is completely false," the Town Hall emphasised in its message, making it clear that no such incident has been recorded at the municipal facilities.
Legal Consequences for Spreading the Rumour
The Town Hall has not only denied the information but has also wanted to warn of the legal implications that sharing this type of false content can have. "Its dissemination is punishable by up to a year in prison plus the corresponding fine," the council stated in its announcement.
The local institution has confirmed that necessary actions have already been initiated to clarify the origin of this false information. "The authorities are already working to determine the origin of this rumour and identify the responsible party or parties," the Town Hall explained.
