The Alcalá de Guadaíra Town Hall opens registration on Monday, September 14 for free workshops of the Active Life Programme for Seniors, which will start on October 1.

The Alcalá de Guadaíra Town Hall, through the Social Services Delegation, opens this Monday, September 14 the registration period for free workshops of the Active Life Programme for Seniors. The activities, aimed at people over 65 years old, will begin on October 1 and will take place at the South Cultural Civic Centre and at the Medina de Haro Day Centre and Luis Velázquez Peña centres.

The offer includes workshops on yoga, computer skills, physical activity, and memory, among others, all in the morning. In the last course, nearly half a thousand seniors participated in these proposals, which the Social Services delegate, Rocío Bastida, describes as "leisure and cultural alternatives that provide both physical, emotional, and social improvement objectives."

Bastida explained that the municipal programme for Senior Dynamisation seeks to "promote the improvement of their quality of life, paving the way for them to enjoy culture while enhancing their autonomy and personal and social interaction." In addition to the workshops, the programme includes occasional activities such as excursions, concerts, and social and sports activities, in collaboration with the Citizen Participation Delegation.

Interested individuals can submit their registration application, available on the municipal website, starting Monday. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until the groups are full.
