The XX Archaeological Days of Valencina de la Concepción will be held between October 29 and 31, 2026, featuring a programme of conferences, round tables, and guided tours. The aim is to bring the public closer to the prehistoric site of the municipality, one of the most significant in Europe, and to explain how its research and conservation are progressing.
The discussions will address citizen participation in the World Heritage nomination, the importance of safeguarding plans, and the COSMOS project. Preliminary results from the excavations being carried out in the area will also be presented.
On Saturday, October 31, there will be guided tours of the Museum of Valencina de la Concepción, the exhibition “The Magic of Amber”, and the megalith of Matarrubilla. For local residents, it is an opportunity to closely explore sites that are part of the village's landscape.
Entry is free, although activities are subject to capacity. Reservations can be made at the Casa de la Cultura, home of the Museum, until spaces are filled, by calling 955 72 02 11 (extension 7) or emailing reservasmuseovalencina@gmail.com.
