The Higher School of Artistic Teaching in Osuna presented the new design for the packaging of the Premium oils from Herriza de la Lobilla. The author is a fourth-year student of the Graphic Design degree.
The fourth-year Graphic Design student Lucía Pérez is the creator of the new packaging that will accompany the extra virgin olive oils from Herriza de la Lobilla. The project was presented this Tuesday, October 20 at the CREAR University Campus, with the participation of the Higher School of Artistic Teaching, known as ESEA, and the company.
As explained by Lucía Pérez herself, the work began with a visit to the mill to understand the philosophy, values, and products of the brand. From there, the designer proposed a concept that combines tradition and innovation, with Andalusian culture, flamenco, and fairs as the main references.
The result recreates an Andalusian fair cover, under which the silhouette of a woman dressed in flamenco appears. This continues the theme of the company’s bottles, recognizable by their colours and white polka dots. The packaging is modular: by joining three boxes, corresponding to the varieties hojiblanca, picual, and manzanilla sevillana, a complete cover is formed.
The design also incorporates a visual reading of 360 degrees and a glow in the dark finish. The municipal delegate for the University, Jesús Heredia Carroza, highlighted the student’s work and her ability to convey the company’s philosophy into a concrete proposal.
“These types of collaborations are essential for students to demonstrate their creativity, preparation, and ability to adapt to the needs of a company.”
Heredia emphasized that Herriza de la Lobilla is a company from Osuna that exports its oils to numerous countries and has received international recognition. For the delegate, the new packaging will ensure that a design by a student trained at the Higher School of Artistic Teaching travels alongside the product in its exports.
For his part, the director of the University School of Osuna, Carlos Chavarría Ortiz, congratulated the student and the involved faculty. The project originated in a course on Applied Design to Packaging and has ended up becoming a real commercial product, something that the delegate himself valued as particularly significant.
