The UNED University Classroom in La Rinconada has opened the enrolment period for the preparatory course for the university access exam for those over 25. Enrolment can be formalised until October 21.

Residents of La Rinconada who wish to resume their university studies have a new opportunity. The UNED University Classroom in the locality, located at Hacienda Santa Cruz, has opened the enrolment period for the preparatory course for the university access exam for those over 25. The enrolment period for the 2026-2027 course will remain open until October 21.

The programme, a result of the agreement between the La Rinconada City Council and UNED-Sevilla, allows students to prepare for the exam without having to travel to the capital. This initiative is part of the Council's commitment to education, which also includes incentives and study aids for transport, curricular materials, languages, or internships.

Requirements and benefits of the access course

To participate in the exam, candidates must meet two prerequisites: they must be 25 years old before December 31 of the year in which the exams are held and must not hold any qualification that grants access to university (such as PAU, selectivity, vocational training, diploma, degree, etc.).

Those who complete the course and pass the exam will obtain equivalence to the Baccalaureate for academic and professional purposes, provided they also have the ESO or other studies. Additionally, the certificate allows direct access to university studies at UNED and many other universities, as well as to Higher Vocational Training, competitive exams, and public and private jobs that require a Baccalaureate qualification.

“It is a fantastic pathway for those who were unable to study at the time and now want to turn their lives around,” sources from the City Council highlight. The course is supported by experienced teachers and combines in-person classes two afternoons a week at Hacienda Santa Cruz with online support and recordings of the content.

How to enrol and more information

Enrolment can be done until October 21. For more information, interested parties can email mtmiranda@sevilla.uned.es or consult the website www.uned.es. They can also visit Hacienda Santa Cruz on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in July and September (except July 28), or go to the UNED headquarters in Seville, at Jericó Street, number 10. The contact phone number is 954 12 95 90.

During the month of August, the facilities will remain closed and will resume services in September. The City Council encourages all residents over 25 in La Rinconada and nearby areas to take advantage of this educational opportunity without having to leave the municipality.
