The City Council of Lebrija has kept the enrollment period open until October 21 for the Access Course to the Distance University (UNED) for those over 25 and 45 years old, a program with nearly two decades of history in the municipality.

Those interested in pursuing university studies and who do not hold a high school diploma have a new opportunity in Lebrija. The City Council of Lebrija has opened the enrollment period for the Access Course to the Distance University (UNED) aimed at those over 25 and 45 years old, which has been offered in the locality for almost two decades.

The enrollment period will remain open until October 21, 2026. Registration can be completed online at www.uned.es or in person at the Training Delegation of the City Council of Lebrija, located in the Youth Centre, in Plaza Rector Merina, opposite the Parish of Our Lady of the Olive.

Data from previous calls support the success of this course: more than 600 people, from both Lebrija and nearby towns such as Trebujena, El Cuervo, Las Cabezas de San Juan, or Jerez, have taken the entrance exams, and approximately 85 percent have passed. Thanks to this training, several students have completed or are finishing university degrees or higher vocational training, and some have secured jobs through calls for which this course is a requirement.

The course will run from mid-October 2026 to mid-May 2027. It includes a total of five subjects: three common ones (Language, Text Commentary, and one Foreign Language) and two specific ones. Classes are held on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 17:00 to 21:00 hours, at the Youth Centre, with tutors for each subject. Attendance is voluntary.

To enroll, it is necessary to be 25 years old before October 1 of the year in which the exam is taken. This course is equivalent to high school for employment purposes, allowing participation in calls for Local Police, Firefighters, and Security Forces, as well as earning points in job pools and accessing Higher Vocational Training Cycles.

"The course offers students new opportunities both academically and professionally," reports the City Council of Lebrija.
