The tenth edition of Noctaíra in Alcalá de Guadaíra once again records full houses with performances by Judit Neddermann, the play 'Victoria Kent' and the recital by Antonio Núñez 'El Pulga'.
The tenth edition of Noctaíra, the cultural and tourist programme that transforms the summer nights of Alcalá de Guadaíra, continues to achieve public success. The latest events, held at the Castle and the San Miguel Centre, have seen a high attendance of locals and visitors, consolidating the event as one of the major summer attractions in the province of Seville.
The delegate for Tourism and Culture, Christopher Rivas, has positively assessed the public's response. "Noctaíra demonstrates edition after edition that culture is one of the great attractions of summer," he noted. "The variety and quality of the programming, along with the value of the heritage spaces that host it, ensure that each activity attracts a large audience and helps to energise the city during the summer months."
One of the most anticipated events was the performance by singer-songwriter, composer and guitarist Judit Neddermann at the Castle. Her proposal, which fuses influences from folk, pop and jazz, captivated the audience, who enjoyed an evening marked by the closeness and artistic quality of one of the most recognised voices in the current music scene.
The theatre took over on the same stage with the performance of Victoria Kent, by the Arteporelarte company. The play, focused on the figure of the Málaga-born politician and lawyer during her exile, moved the audience with a staging that champions the memory of one of the pioneering women in recent history and the value of friendship against oblivion.
As is tradition in Noctaíra, flamenco featured prominently in the third event of the week at the San Miguel Centre. Antonio Núñez "El Pulga" offered a recital full of authenticity and feeling that showcased his artistic personality and the strength of his art, receiving an excellent reception from the large audience present.
The success of participation confirms the excellent moment that the tenth edition of Noctaíra is experiencing, which will continue over the coming weeks offering new cultural and tourist activities for all audiences. The programme combines quality shows with the enhancement of some of the city's most unique heritage spaces, such as the Castle or the Harinera del Guadaíra.
For the coming days, the programme includes new proposals. On Tuesday, July 28, Buscando a Oz will be enjoyed in the Dragon Park at 10:00 PM. On Wednesday, July 29, at the Harinera del Guadaíra, the Family Theatre programme will be inaugurated at 10:00 PM with the performance of the play Imaginando al Quijote, by the Escena 13 company.
