The summer cultural programme of Alcalá de Guadaíra has recorded 37 events and 6,989 attendees, a 15% increase compared to 2025. The Castle's new lighting has attracted many visitors during the theatrical tours.
The municipal programme Noctaíra has concluded its tenth edition with 6,989 spectators and 37 events held between 2nd July and 12th September. These are the best figures in its history, according to the report presented this Thursday by the delegate for Culture and Tourism, Christopher Rivas.
The comparison with the previous year shows a growth of nearly 15%: in 2025, there were 25 performances and 6,088 attendees, meaning this edition has added 12 events and 901 spectators more.
Rivas highlighted the use of heritage spaces and the variety of offerings. "Ten years of cultural programming, proposals for all audiences (children's and adult theatre, magic, dance, concerts...) and a commitment to discover Alcalá through its heritage spaces, landscapes, and most emblematic corners," he stated.
Among the most popular activities were the guided and theatrical tours, especially those that incorporated the new lighting of the Castle. According to the delegate, this improvement has provided "a novel experience for participants, further enhancing the monumental heritage and its utility not only for tourism but also for cultural experiences."
The municipal official defended the programme's role in the city's life. "Noctaíra is not just a collection of performances. It is 37 opportunities for encounters between artists, locals, and visitors. These are spaces that come to life, heritage that is enjoyed in a different way, and a programme that brings culture closer to the citizens," he added.
Looking ahead to future editions, Rivas noted that these figures allow for "looking back with satisfaction, but also observing the future with the responsibility to continue improving and offering a cultural programme worthy of what our city deserves."
The programme has taken place throughout the summer at various locations in the municipality, with the Castle as one of the main venues. The participation data confirms the upward trend of an event that has already become part of the province's summer calendar.
