The Employment Delegation of Alcalá de Guadaíra has launched a new edition of the free programme Vives Emplea Saludable this Tuesday, which will train 28 unemployed individuals until November.
A total of 28 unemployed people from Alcalá de Guadaíra have started their participation in the 19th edition of the Vives Emplea Saludable programme, a free initiative that combines digital training, social skills, and personal empowerment to facilitate job placement. The course, which will run until November with a break in August, is being held at the municipal Employment Delegation.
High placement rate and municipal support
The Employment Delegate, Paula Fuster, welcomed the participants and highlighted that the programme has a job placement rate of between 45% and 70% in previous editions. “It is an initiative with extensive experience in the locality that strengthens professional skills, self-confidence, and personal capabilities,” Fuster noted during the opening event.
Since its inception in 2017, the programme has trained 483 people in Alcalá de Guadaíra. In this edition, participants will work in groups, receive personalised advice, and update their professional goals to create a more solid career future.
Training adapted to the current market
The programme includes updated tools such as the use of artificial intelligence for job searching, creating attractive resumes, optimising online profiles, and strategies for contacting companies. It also addresses the emotional management associated with unemployment, such as blockages, fears, or low self-esteem, to empower participants.
The sessions are semi-presential and include workshops with human resources managers from collaborating companies, direct contacts with firms, and participation in job forums. The majority profile of attendees is women (74%), long-term unemployed, and those over 45 years old.
“Learning about new technologies, public speaking, or teamwork are key aspects in personnel selection, but also self-awareness of one's own strengths,” Fuster explained.
Over 5 million in supplementary training
At the same time, the Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council has launched the RELANZA-T programme, endowed with over 5 million euros from European funds, which offers dozens of training pathways with work placements in high-demand professions. Fuster emphasised that “for the development of a society, employment is essential for economic, family, and emotional reasons.”
The councillor encouraged unemployed individuals in the municipality to take advantage of these resources and reminded that the council's goal is “to ensure that no one is left behind, supporting the most vulnerable and fighting against female unemployment.”
