There are 46 days left until Utrera celebrates its Fair and Festivals of Our Lady of Consolation, which will begin on September 4 with the traditional night of Pescaíto. The Town Hall has started the preparations for the fairground.

The Town Hall of Utrera has initiated the conditioning work of the fairground several weeks in advance for the Fair and Festivals of Our Lady of Consolation 2026, which will commence on September 4 with the night of Pescaíto. The countdown is already on: there are 46 days left for the town to experience one of its most significant events.

Conditioning and maintenance work

The departments of Parks and Gardens and Works and Infrastructures are coordinating the actions. From the first, maintenance tasks for green areas and trees are being carried out, while the second is reviewing the sewage and drainage network to ensure its proper functioning during the busiest days.

Progress has also been made in assembling the structures of the booths and installing the ornamental lighting. In those booths where assembly has already been completed, awnings are being placed, a detail that provides shade and a festive atmosphere.

Statements from the Major Festivals Delegate

The delegate for Major Festivals, Francisco Arjona, highlighted that “the Town Hall is working in advance to ensure that the Consolation Fair continues to be a reference event. Our goal is to preserve everything that makes it unique while incorporating improvements that allow us to offer a venue and services of ever-increasing quality.”

Arjona emphasised the commitment to maintaining the essence of a fair that combines culture, tradition, and tourism promotion, attracting numerous visitors from across the province each year.

A well-established fair in the province

The Utrera Fair has become one of the most prominent in the province of Seville, both for its unique identity and its ability to bring together locals and visitors. The night of Pescaíto, which opens the festivities, is one of the most anticipated moments, featuring tastings and atmosphere in the booths.

This year, the early start of the work aims to ensure everything is ready for September 4, avoiding last-minute setbacks. Residents are already beginning to prepare their booths and finalise details to enjoy days of togetherness and joy.

With an eye on the calendar, Utrera is getting ready to welcome both locals and visitors to a fair that, year after year, demonstrates why it is one of the essential events of the summer in the province. The countdown has begun, and excitement grows as the date approaches.
