The Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council is continuing the third call for driving licence aid, which has already benefited 611 people. The grants cover up to 700 euros for category B and 1,400 euros for category C.
The mayor of Alcalá de Guadaíra, Ana Isabel Jiménez, has highlighted the usefulness of municipal aid for obtaining a driving licence, an initiative launched two years ago that has already benefited 611 people. This 2026, the third call remains open, with an application deadline ending on September 23.
The mayor, accompanied by the municipal delegate for Employment and Youth, Paula Fuster, and young beneficiaries from previous editions, emphasised the council's commitment to youth employment.
"We at the City Council are convinced that training is a key tool for achieving employment, which is the overarching final objective of much of our policies and one of the key goals for our government"
Jiménez explained that the measure responds to a need expressed by many residents: "It was a need expressed by many people that obtaining a driving licence could significantly help them secure a job or be in a better position to do so."
The call is endowed with more than half a million euros and is aimed at unemployed individuals or those working part-time up to 50%, registered in the municipality for at least one year prior to the call. Young people up to 30 years old have a higher scoring system.
The aid covers 100% of the costs associated with the licence, with a maximum of 700 euros for category B and 1,400 euros for category C, including the Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP). Training must be carried out at a driving school in Alcalá de Guadaíra and requires passing both the theoretical and practical exams, as well as proving attendance at the mandatory training.
Applications can be submitted through the municipal electronic headquarters until September 23. The aid will be awarded in the order of applications until the available funds are exhausted.
