ONCE dedicates its coupon on September 20 to the Écija Fair

ONCE will dedicate the September 20 draw to the Real Feria de Écija, with 5.5 million coupons promoting the festival across Spain.

ONCE will dedicate the draw on Sunday, September 20, to the Real Feria de Écija, which concludes on the same day. Over 5.5 million coupons will spread the image of the Écija festival throughout the country.

ONCE will dedicate the draw on Sunday, September 20 to the Real Feria de Écija, which takes place from September 15 to 20. This was announced on Wednesday at an event held at the Palacio de Benamejí, the headquarters of the Historical Museum of the town.

The delegate of ONCE in Andalusia, Ceuta and Melilla, Cristóbal Martínez, the subdelegate María Martínez, and the director of ONCE in Écija, Rosario de las Mercedes López, presented the image of the coupon to the mayor, Silvia Heredia, and the delegate of Major Festivals, Raquel Miranda.

5.5 million coupons will feature a cover of the fair with a fan in the foreground, under the slogan Real Feria de Écija and with a highlight that underscores its origin in 1274, along with the corporate image of the Écija Town Hall.

“We pay tribute to one of the oldest fairs in Spain,” emphasized Cristóbal Martínez.

The fair has its origins in the right granted by Alfonso X The Wise in 1274, when it was of a commercial and livestock nature. It wasn't until 1652 that Philip IV authorized the celebration of the September Fair as it is known today.

Martínez emphasized that the Feria de Écija is not just a festival, but a legacy and an economic, social, and cultural engine for the city. He also expressed being “proud” to carry the name of Écija across Spain through the coupon.

The mayor, Silvia Heredia, thanked the organization for the gesture and highlighted the work of ONCE sellers in the city, as well as the promotion it will bring for local traditions.

“Écija and its traditions will be the stars of an unparalleled promotion, which will take our name to every corner of Spain,” stated the mayor.

The Weekend Sueldazo from ONCE offers a main prize of 300,000 euros for the five digits and series every Saturday and Sunday, plus 5,000 euros a month for 20 years for a single coupon, and 2,000 euros a month for 10 years for four other coupons.

The coupons can be purchased through more than 21,300 sellers of the organization, on the website juegosonce.es, and at authorized establishments.
