The City Council of Écija considers the 2026 edition to be very positive, with 55,000 attendees and few incidents. Mayor Silvia Heredia highlights inclusion, safety, and the revival of the bullring.
The Real Feria de Écija 2026 has received around 55,000 visitors, according to the approximate data on urban waste and glass managed by the City Council. This figure represents 15,000 more attendees than in the previous edition, an increase that the government team attributes to the programming and the recovery of traditional spaces.
The mayor, Silvia Heredia, appeared alongside the delegate for Major Festivals, Raquel Miranda, and the delegate for Citizen Security, Rosario Delgado, to assess a fair that they consider "more inclusive, safer, and more accessible than ever."
"I want to highlight the Rincón de la Calma, the noise-free day, and the work of the families of Écija dedicated to the fair, as well as the exemplary gesture of the Llamas brothers, who adapted an attraction for people with reduced mobility"
In terms of accessibility, the City Council extended noise-free hours and created rest areas in collaboration with the TEAbrazo association. According to Civil Protection, 15 helmets and 30 bracelets for minors with autism spectrum disorder and other specific needs were used.
The Municipal Tent recorded high attendance throughout the fair, with a program that combined local and foreign artists. The mayor emphasizes that this edition has regained lost prestige and featured a strong presence of tents, bulls, horses, and music.
The bullfight featuring Talavante and David de Miranda was broadcast by Canal Sur across Andalusia with a 21.3% audience share, and it was also aired in Mexico. Additionally, the ONCE coupon, according to the delegate for Major Festivals, has given visibility to the city throughout Spain.
"We can say that the recovery and promotion of the Bullring has consolidated as one of the main achievements of this government team, as it was not only the bullfight on Sunday, but also the equestrian show the previous week, as well as the pre-fair celebration"
Regarding security, Rosario Delgado describes the operation as successful due to the coordination between Local Police and National Police. The Local Police carried out about 150 services, with joint patrols and controls in the surrounding areas, while the National Police deployed aerial units, UPR, cavalry, and agents specialized in preventing underage alcohol consumption.
Together with the volunteers from Civil Protection of Écija, personnel from various municipalities participated, including eight on-site firefighters and thirteen located, who attended to several emergencies, including a fire.
The delegate for Major Festivals also appreciated the reception of the 60% discount applied during the Children's Day, as well as the Punto Violeta, which assisted between 250 and 300 people. The children's nursery welcomed over 400 children.
The City Council thanks the work of municipal services, security forces, emergency services, firefighters, Civil Protection, tent owners, associations, artists, collaborating companies, and the public. The mayor assures that the council is already preparing new improvements for next year's Real Feria.

Among the measures implemented this year are the issuance of opening licenses, municipal investment in the tents, and service improvements. Miranda congratulated the Association of Tent Owners and committed to continue working for the next edition.
