A.C. Villanueva claimed the XIV Harvest Festival Trophy after defeating C.D. Albaida 2-0 in the final held yesterday.

A.C. Villanueva was crowned champion of the XIV Harvest Festival Trophy after defeating C.D. Albaida 2-0 in the grand final yesterday.

The A.C. Villanueva was crowned this Saturday champion of the XIV Harvest Festival Trophy by winning 2-0 against C.D. Albaida in the decisive match of the tournament, held in Villanueva del Ariscal.

The match had a special incentive with the presence of the procession from the Fair and LXXII Harvest Festival, whose queen performed the honorary kick-off. The mayor of Villanueva del Ariscal, Curro García, accompanied by members of the Municipal Corporation, attended the final to support the teams and local residents.

The organization highlighted the sportsmanship that has characterised the tournament over the past few days, during which several matches were played leading up to the final.

With this result, the local team takes home the trophy from an event that has already become established in the sporting and festive calendar of the municipality, coinciding with the grape harvest celebration.
