The Jardines del Conde of the Hacienda Santa Ana will host the last event featuring the traditional pavías of hake and cod, prepared by the women of the Sacramental Brotherhood, on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 August. The proceeds will go to their social work.
Tomares concludes one of its most anticipated gastronomic events of the summer this Friday 7 and Saturday 8 August: the pavías of the Sacramental Brotherhood. Starting at 21:00, the Jardines del Conde, located in the historic Hacienda Santa Ana —home of the Town Hall—, will transform into an outdoor terrace where locals and visitors can enjoy this delicacy one last time.
The recipe, passed down through generations and made by the women of the brotherhood, has established itself as a classic of the province and one of the most deeply rooted culinary traditions in the municipality. Alongside the pavías of hake and cod, visitors can try the so-called “camisetas,” a version with a thinner layer of flour, as well as other homemade tapas at popular prices: potato salad, shredded meat, skewers, prawn montaditos, or the typical “Veracruz” with steak, salmorejo, and ham.
The event, which attracts thousands of people every summer, is also an opportunity to contribute to a good cause, as the proceeds go to the Social Work of the Sacramental Brotherhood, which carries out aid actions for people in vulnerable situations.
For those who have not yet tried these pavías, this is the last opportunity of the year. The event, designed for enjoyment with family or friends, takes place in a unique setting, under the starry sky.
