The summer tourist programme of the Utrera City Council closes July with a positive balance: 19 activities and 527 attendees, with visitors arriving from up to 14 locations in Spain and abroad.
The "Veranea in Utrera" programme, promoted by the Tourism Delegation of the Utrera City Council in collaboration with local businesses and entities, has concluded its first month with a balance that the delegation itself describes as very positive. Between July 8 and 30, 19 activities were held, in which 527 people participated.
The majority of attendees were residents of Utrera, but the offer also managed to attract visitors from Seville, Dos Hermanas, Arahal, Barcelona, Madrid, Granada, Valencia, Cartaya, Mairena del Aljarafe, Badajoz, La Palma del Condado, Carmona, Écija, and London. A mix of origins that, according to municipal sources, demonstrates the growing interest in the summer tourist offer of the locality.
The activity with the highest attendance was "Santiago Nocturno", organised by the Parish of Santiago and the Association of Socorro. Initially scheduled for July 8, 13, 20, and 27, the demand forced an extra session to be added on July 21, reaching a total of 175 participants.
Following closely in participation was "Utrera among the Stars. Astronomy in the Campiña", organised by La Strada di Miguel, which brought together 74 people in sessions held on July 8, 16, and 30. The session planned for July 2 had to be postponed to July 8 due to coinciding with a match of the Spanish National Team in the 2026 World Cup.
The rest of the proposals also received notable reception. The theatrical visit "Utrera: Devotions that taste like Glory", from Utrera te Guía, attracted 50 participants on July 8 and 22, coming from Utrera, Seville, Madrid, and Barcelona. The route "Utrera, a walk through its figures and illustrious characters", organised by the Tourism Delegation itself, had 37 attendees on July 9 and 29.
Among the experiences directly promoted by the City Council, the "Sunsets" from the Torre del Homenaje stood out, which gathered 42 people on July 15 and 21 with the music of Pepa de Utrera as a common thread, in the framework of the centenary of her birth. Meanwhile, "Nights at the Vistahermosa Palace" gathered 72 attendees on July 14, 23, and 28.
The Hotel Palacio San Fernando completed the offer with the Flamenco White Night, held on July 18, and the theatrical tasting "Gods, Glasses, and Sins", which took place on July 23 in place of the theatrical visit initially scheduled for July 30. Both activities summed up to 77 participants, mainly from Utrera, Seville, Mairena del Aljarafe, and Valencia.
The Tourism Delegate, María José, has valued these figures as a support for the municipal strategy to de-seasonalise tourism and position Utrera as a summer destination. The programme will continue throughout August with new activities, the dates and times of which can be consulted on the municipal website and the official profiles of the delegation.
