Palomares del Río celebrates this Friday the main day of its Fair, with activities for seniors, children, and flamenco enthusiasts. The dress raffle and musical performances will continue until dawn.
The Sevillian municipality of Palomares del Río faces this Friday, September 4 the central day of its 2026 Fair, with a programme that combines tradition, music, and a special focus on seniors and children.
The morning will kick off at 11:00 AM with children’s and youth activities at the Fairgrounds, which will last until 2:00 PM. At 1:30 PM, the Children's Foam Party is scheduled to take place in the same venue, while at the Municipal Tent, the traditional Seniors' Lunch will be held at that same time, a gathering that brings together the town's older residents each year.
The afternoon will feature a performance by Carolina Caparrós at 2:30 PM in the Municipal Tent, before the day transitions into the evening, which is especially dedicated to flamenco.
Between 8:00 PM and 11:00 PM, all women and girls dressed in flamenco attire can collect their number to participate in the grand raffle of flamenco dresses and accessories, which will take place at 11:00 PM in the Municipal Tent. Participation is restricted to those wearing flamenco dresses.
The raffle will distribute a flamenco dress for girls and another for women, courtesy of Limpiezas La Trinidad. Additionally, there are two categories: children's (up to 12 years) and adults (from 13 years), which include an embroidered shawl from Deco Jardín Aljarafe and accessories.
The music will not stop. At 11:15 PM, Santi y los Apóstoles del Blues will perform; at 12:30 AM, it will be the turn of Tres Caras Rock Band, both in the Municipal Tent. In the early hours, at 1:30 AM, calle Loma Verdejana will host the traditional Fire Bull, and at 2:00 AM, DJ Ricardo del Toro will close the night at the tent.
The Town Hall encourages residents to participate: “Put on your dress, gather your family, and come enjoy a historic Friday Fair.” Entry to all events is free and takes place at the municipality's fairgrounds.
