The 15th Horse Gymkhana of Una Pará in Gines will be held on Saturday, October 3, with new events and more time to complete the circuit. The event will distribute prizes of up to €1,000.
The Equestrian Gymkhana returns to Gines on Saturday, October 3 as part of the 18th edition of Una Pará, which will take place from October 1 to 4 in the Sevillian municipality. The event, now in its fifteenth edition, retains its usual format on a circuit with obstacles in the oxen arena.
This year's highlights include the addition of a pole exercise to the already familiar events, such as the alpaca block jump, the clover, the opening and closing of the gate, the half turn, and the side pass. Additionally, the maximum time to complete the course has been extended from 5 to 7 minutes.
The organisation is managed by the Gines Town Hall and the Cultural Equestrian Association El Corralón. A qualified team of judges will assess the participant's handling of the horse and their training work, always prioritising respect for the animal.
The event is open to riders aged 16 and over and will award prizes of €1,000, €500, €250, and €100 for the top four competitors. Additionally, there are three local awards of €200, €100, and €50.
Registrations will take place one hour before the start, on the same day October 3 from 17:00, at the oxen arena. The competition will begin at 18:00.
The equestrian showcase, declared an Event of Tourist Interest in Andalusia, brings various equestrian disciplines to the public. The complete rules and all information about Una Pará in Gines can be found at unaparaengines.es.
