The Town Hall of La Rinconada will hold the draw for 160 Officially Protected Homes in the La Unión area on October 13. The homes, priced between €107,000 and €115,000, will be drawn publicly before a notary.
The Town Hall of La Rinconada has set October 13 for the draw of the 160 affordable homes being built in the La Unión area, as part of the Young Housing Plan. The event, which will take place at the municipal building El Abrazo, will be public and conducted before a notary.
The homes, which will be sold at prices ranging from €107,000 to €115,000, add to another 68 already allocated and under construction in the same area. In total, the plan includes 250 affordable homes in this expanding area of the municipality, of which 100 have already been sold and 24 are available for rent in the former Fair of La Rinconada.
The process begins before the draw. On September 29, the provisional list of registered applicants in the Housing Demand Registry who will participate in the draw will be published, according to the public company SODERIN. Those listed will be able to check their details for any errors or omissions.
After resolving any issues, the final list will be announced. In this list, each participant will receive a random number assigned by a software application, which will be used in the draw.
On the day of the draw, the process will be divided into two phases to expedite proceedings. First, 300 numbers will be drawn one by one from all participants. Then, a single number will be used to order the remaining applicants starting from position 301.
With that order, participants will be invited to an individual meeting at SODERIN to learn about the terms of the promotion and indicate whether they are interested in acquiring one of the homes. If so, they will be able to choose from those that are still available at that time.
The mayor of La Rinconada, Javier Fernández, has defended the municipality's housing policy:
“Our housing policy is very ambitious to try to reach those people who cannot access the free market.”Fernández added that, although he wishes for more support from the Junta de Andalucía,
“the Provincial Council is providing us with around €50,000 per home, which is fundamental support.”
The Housing Demand Registry remains open permanently for future promotions. Meanwhile, the Town Hall is working on another 38 affordable homes currently under construction in Rinconada Centro.
