The City Council of Dos Hermanas has today closed the Municipal Summer Schools 2026, with around 800 children and their families. The programme aims to facilitate work-life balance during the holidays.
The City Council of Dos Hermanas has today put the finishing touch to a new edition of the Summer Schools 2026 “We Have Fun Learning” with a closing party held at the Sports Palace. Around 800 children from the municipality and their families have participated in this initiative, driven by the Delegation for Social Cohesion.
The programme, which is part of the Corresponsables Plan 2025, has provided an educational leisure space for the children of Dos Hermanas during the summer months. The responsible department, led by Deputy Mayor Juan Pedro Rodríguez García, has aimed to respond to families who need a resource to leave their children while they work.
From the organisation, they have explained that these schools “represent a new commitment from the City Council of Dos Hermanas to work-life balance, responding to those families who need a place where minors can spend the summer months learning while having fun.”
This year's edition has paid special attention to children with autism spectrum disorder and functional diversity. “From the City Council, we are committed and understand that they need a holiday alternative,” the programme's officials have stated.
The closing day brought together participants for a final party where they shared the activities carried out during the summer. The initiative is part of municipal efforts to promote family reconciliation during the non-school period.
