The young boxer from La Rinconada was named best boxer of the Portuguese tournament, where her club, Kaká Boxing Club, excelled with 21 medals.
The boxer from La Rinconada, Adriana Muñoz, continues to write her name in gold letters in the European boxing scene. At the Braga Open Boxing, held in Portugal, the young athlete not only won the gold medal in her category but was also awarded the Best Boxer of the Tournament, a title that positions her as one of the greatest prospects in continental boxing.
This recognition, awarded among nearly 1,000 participants from 24 countries, confirms the spectacular progress of a boxer who, at just 20 years old, already boasts an enviable record. Her club, the Kaká Boxing Club, based in La Rinconada, also shone brightly by being named Best Team of the Tournament and Best Training Team.
A club that is a factory of champions
The Kaká Boxing Club, led by José Manuel Pacheco ‘Kaká’, arrived in Braga with a delegation of 23 boxers and returned home with a haul of 21 medals: 12 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze. This balance speaks for itself about the quality of the Seville-based club.
“Adriana has done it again; she has been champion and was chosen the best boxer of the championship,” declared a proud Pacheco. “We went with 23 boxers and returned from Braga with 21 medals. Additionally, we received the award for Best Team of the Tournament, Best Training Team, and also the Best Boxer of the Tournament,” added the coach.
The La Rinconada club has become a benchmark in training boxing in recent years, with a talent pool that keeps producing results. Participation in the Braga Open, with 190 teams from across Europe, demonstrates the high competitive level faced by Pacheco's pupils.
Adriana Muñoz, a precocious talent
Adriana Muñoz, a native of La Rinconada, started boxing as a child and has not stopped achieving success since then. Her technical style and punch have made her a feared boxer in the ring, but also admired for her discipline and humility outside of it.
“Adriana has done it again,” Pacheco repeated, emphasizing the consistency of the boxer, who has already accumulated several national and international titles. Her selection as Best Boxer of the Braga Open is not an isolated event, but rather the confirmation of an upward trajectory that points very high.
For the residents of La Rinconada, seeing one of their own succeed in European boxing is a source of pride. The City Council has already shown its support for the athlete, who could be named ambassador of the municipality if she continues to achieve success. At just 20 years old, Adriana Muñoz's future looks bright, and her club already dreams of seeing her in the Olympics or even competing for a world title.
The next challenge for the boxer will be the Spanish Championship, where she will defend her crown, and afterwards, who knows if she will make the leap to professional boxing. For now, in La Rinconada, everyone is following her closely, waiting for the next punch on the table.
