The Civil Guard is raiding the Town Hall of Frigiliana (Málaga) in an anti-corruption operation. The president of VOX Málaga, Antonio Sevilla, accuses the PSOE of being behind the events.

The Civil Guard has carried out raids at the Town Hall of Frigiliana, in Málaga, as part of an investigation pointing to an alleged case of urban corruption. The operation, which included inspections of municipal offices and the collection of documents, has been described by the president of VOX Málaga and deputy in the Andalusian Parliament, Antonio Sevilla, as another example of the "systemic corruption" that, in his opinion, characterises the Socialist Party.

Sevilla has stated that "what is happening in the Town Hall of Frigiliana should not surprise anyone," and has compared the events to other alleged corruption cases affecting the environment of Pedro Sánchez's Government, such as the Ábalos, Koldo, or Cerdán cases. "We see that PSOE's corruption knows no bounds," asserted the VOX leader, who has demanded "immediate explanations" from the PSOE of Málaga regarding what he has termed "the umpteenth alleged socialist corruption scandal in Andalusian lands."

The provincial president of VOX has gone further by linking these events to the support that the Málaga PSOE has shown for Pedro Sánchez. "Now it is even clearer why the PSOE of Málaga supports Pedro Sánchez, because socialism is anchored in corruption and among corrupt individuals, they support and understand each other," declared Sevilla, who urged the party to "face the residents of Frigiliana and all the people of Málaga."

In his speech, Sevilla reminded that the PSOE "cannot give lessons on democratic cleanliness to anyone" and defended that "the Spanish deserve clean, transparent institutions that serve the citizens, not clientelist networks or partisan interests." The VOX deputy concluded by stating that his party "will continue to denounce every case of corruption, every abuse, and every attempt to use institutions as if they were a PSOE estate."

The raids in Frigiliana occur in the context of multiple anti-corruption investigations in Andalusia, where the PSOE has governed for decades. This new episode has reignited the debate on transparency in public management and has focused attention on the small Málaga locality, which has about 3,000 inhabitants and significant historical heritage. The Town Hall of Frigiliana, governed by the PSOE, has not yet issued any official statements regarding the raids, while the Civil Guard continues the investigation under secrecy.

Sevilla has emphasised that "if the PSOE of Málaga had a minimum of dignity and respect for the citizens, it would apologise for all the corruption that its party has been involved in and continues to be involved in, both nationally and regionally and provincially." The criticisms from VOX join those of other political forces that have called for transparency and urgency in the investigation to clarify the facts and hold those responsible accountable.
