A notorious criminal from Espartinas is imprisoned following a joint operation

Local Police and Civil Guard arrest a repeat offender with 36 stolen packages. The judge orders imprisonment.

The Local Police of Espartinas and the Civil Guard of Gines arrested an individual with multiple prior convictions. The judiciary has ordered his imprisonment.

The collaboration between the Local Police of Espartinas and the Civil Guard of the Main Post of Gines has culminated in the imprisonment of a known criminal from the locality, identified by his initials D.S.G. The judicial authority issued this measure on August 13, just one day after his arrest.

The events date back to August 12, when the Local Police, who were maintaining surveillance on the individual due to his repeated criminal episodes, stopped him upon detecting that he was carrying several packages. At that moment, the suspect reacted violently and attacked one of the officers, although the rapid police response allowed them to subdue and arrest him.

During the intervention, the officers recovered 36 packages from a robbery at a mobile phone establishment in Espartinas, including several phones, as well as various other packages. The detainee was taken to the Gines Civil Guard barracks, where the necessary procedures were completed before presenting him to the judiciary.

According to the acting forces, the detainee has various prior convictions and has been involved in several disturbances in the locality over a short period of time, including threats with a knife, which had generated growing social alarm among the residents of Espartinas.

The mayor of Espartinas, Cristina Los Arcos, highlighted “the cooperation and coordination work carried out between the Local Police of Espartinas and the Civil Guard of the Main Post of Gines, whose joint action has been fundamental in clarifying the facts, arresting the alleged perpetrator, and presenting him to the judiciary.”

The mayor emphasized that the crime rate in the municipality has decreased again in 2025 and in the first half of 2026, remaining well below the regional and national average. This arrest and subsequent imprisonment convey a message of reassurance to the population.

Cooperation between the different security bodies continues to be a key tool for preventing and combating crime in Espartinas, according to municipal sources.
