The Gines Town Hall has called an ordinary telematic plenary session for this Friday, July 31 at 12:00, with an agenda that includes the urban regularisation of II Duque de Ahumada and several motions from PP and VOX.
The Sevillian municipality of Gines will hold a new ordinary plenary session this Friday, July 31, which will take place telematically starting at 12:00. The announcement, published by the Town Hall, comes after the remote format of the session was ratified, a common practice since the onset of the pandemic.
The agenda will begin with the approval of the minutes from previous sessions, specifically the ordinary session of May 29 and the extraordinary session of July 1. Following this, the municipal groups will address one of the most significant points: the initial approval of the urban planning agreement for the regularisation of II Duque de Ahumada, a file that directly affects the planning of this area of the municipality.
The session will also include several political initiatives. The municipal group of the PP will present a solidarity proposal under the slogan “All with Venezuela”, at a time of particular international attention on the South American country. The same party will bring a motion to the Plenary urging the Spanish Government to take political responsibility and call for general elections.
On the other hand, the municipal group of VOX has registered two motions. The first requests that a member of the opposition be included in the municipal contracting body of the Employment and Stability Programme (P.E.S.), a demand aimed at reinforcing transparency in the management of these funds. The second motion condemns corruption in the Government and also calls for the convocation of general elections.
“Plenary sessions are public and open to the free attendance of any interested neighbour who wishes to learn first-hand about the agreements adopted by their municipal representatives,” the Gines Town Hall reminds.
After the agenda items, the session will continue with the possible inclusion of urgent matters not initially foreseen, and will conclude with the usual turn for requests and questions. This last section allows neighbours to raise issues directly with their representatives, although this time, due to the telematic format, the follow-up will be conducted through the Town Hall's Electronic Headquarters.

This channel has become the usual means to ensure citizen participation in municipal plenaries since the remote modality was adopted.

However, the most relevant point for the residents of Gines is undoubtedly the urban planning agreement of II Duque de Ahumada, which could lay the groundwork for future actions in that area.
