The Town Hall of Estepa has completed the renovation of 27 electrical panels for street lighting, an investment of 89,500 euros plus VAT funded by the Provincial Council of Seville.
The Town Hall of Estepa has announced the completion of the renovation works for 27 electrical panels for street lighting, an initiative that has involved an investment of 89,500 euros, plus the corresponding VAT, fully financed by the Provincial Council of Seville. The works, carried out by the company CACTUS Servicios Energéticos S.L.U., which has been part of the VEOLIA Spain group since July 2024, have modernised a key infrastructure for the municipality's outdoor lighting service.
The intervention is part of the contract titled "Renovation Works of 27 Electrical Panels", whose main objective has been to renew essential installations for the proper functioning of the street lighting network. The improvements have focused on the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the electrical panels, which have also been adapted to current technical regulations. With this initiative, the council aims to reduce supply incidents and facilitate periodic maintenance tasks.
As part of the project, an information sign has been installed on Avenida de Andalucía, next to the electrical panel identified as CM-028, thus fulfilling the information and publicity obligations established in the contract. This sign details the funding from the Provincial Council and the specifics of the work.
The mayor of Estepa, Antonio Jesús Muñoz Quirós, has emphasised the importance of this initiative for the locality. "The continuous improvement of municipal infrastructures is a priority for this Town Hall. Initiatives like this allow us to offer safer, more efficient, and higher-quality public services for our residents, while modernising facilities that are essential for the daily functioning of the municipality," the mayor stated.
The Town Hall of Estepa has expressed gratitude for the support of the Provincial Council of Seville, whose funding has made this investment possible. The provincial institution has been collaborating on numerous infrastructure and public service improvement initiatives in the locality, and this new intervention adds to that line of work.
The residents of Estepa will benefit from more reliable street lighting with fewer breakdowns, which directly impacts road safety and the quality of life in the streets. The renewal of the electrical panels also contributes to greater energy efficiency, although the Town Hall has not detailed the specific savings expected.
The executing company, CACTUS Servicios Energéticos, is part of the VEOLIA group, a French multinational specialised in energy and environmental services. The company has worked in accordance with the technical specifications of the Town Hall, ensuring that the installations meet the required safety and functionality standards.
This initiative occurs in a context of infrastructure renewal in Estepa, where the Town Hall has promoted various improvements in recent years. The modernisation of street lighting is one of the recurring demands of the citizens, and with these works, a step forward is taken in providing an essential service.
The information sign installed on Avenida de Andalucía will remain visible for the period stipulated in the contract, providing transparency regarding the investment made. Citizens can consult the details of the work on the panel itself or through the official channels of the Town Hall.
