The Montellano Town Hall has approved a project worth €201,215.80 funded by the Stable Employment Plan of the Provincial Council of Seville. The works focus on paths, recreational areas, and access to the natural environment.

The Montellano Town Hall has approved a project worth €201,215.80 aimed at recovering and improving various spaces in the Sierra. The funding comes from a grant from the Stable Employment Plan of the Provincial Council of Seville, meaning the money will also help generate local employment.

The plan consists of five actions aimed at conserving and conditioning the paths and recreational areas of the Sierra. More than €141,000 will be allocated to labour, with the declared goal of providing greater accessibility and better facilities.

The first measure involves improving the Sierra trails, so that those who walk them find better-maintained and safer paths. Additionally, the La Cruz trail will be adapted for use by people with reduced mobility, the elderly, and families with small children.

In the vicinity of the Castillo de Cote, the access path will be restored to improve access to this heritage site. The project also renovates the recreational area, enhancing its facilities.

In Tesorillo, a new parking area will be created, and benches, bins, and bike racks will be installed. For residents and visitors, this means more places to park and rest before or after the routes.

The Town Hall has published an attached PDF with more details about the project, which can be consulted in its official information.
