Sevilla FC is finalising the sale of Akor Adams to Venezia for €16.8 million fixed, while Rubén Vargas and Oso could bring in another €40 million. The aim is to ease the wage bill and unlock new signings.

Sevilla FC is in the midst of an exit operation to balance its accounts and gain leeway in the transfer market. The most advanced negotiations are for Nigerian forward Akor Adams, whose transfer to Serie A's Venezia FC is very close to being finalised for a figure close to €16.8 million fixed, plus variables. The Seville club hopes to formalise the agreement before the team's trip to Krakow for their next commitment, thus avoiding unnecessary travel for the player.

The attacker, who continues to train normally at the Cisneros Palacios sports city under the orders of Luis García Plaza, is patiently awaiting the final green light. The operation, according to sources close to the negotiation, is only pending the definition of payment terms, that is, what percentage will be paid upfront and how much will be staggered. This move will allow Sevilla FC to register new signings and ease the tight wage bill that hindered summer planning.

Rubén Vargas, revalued after the World Cup

Another important asset for the sporting management is Swiss winger Rubén Vargas. His brilliant performance in the last World Cup has skyrocketed his market value. Sevilla FC paid around €2.5 million for his signing a year and a half ago, and now hopes to recover a much larger amount. According to estimates, his transfer could be around €20 million, which would provide extraordinary financial relief and significant salary savings. Premier League clubs like Brighton and Aston Villa have already shown interest in the player.

The situation of Vargas is particularly advantageous for the Nervionense club, as his performance at the World Cup has placed him on the international showcase. The technical secretariat is confident that the operation will materialise in the coming weeks, allowing part of those revenues to be reinvested in the priority positions the team needs.

Oso, the youth player generating doubts

The third notable name on the list of possible departures is youth player Oso, whose contractual situation is starting to generate some tension in the Nervión offices. With only twelve months of contract left and no renewal agreement in place, Sevilla FC is looking to avoid the player starting the season without having signed an extension. Although the club's priority is to retain him, his agents have already sought accommodation for him at other teams.

Oso has a release clause of €20 million, but Sevilla FC has valued his departure at a minimum of €15 million. In fact, they have already rejected an initial offer from Nottingham Forest. The management is not afraid of a low sale, but is aware that if he is not renewed, the player's value could depreciate. The final decision will depend on the offers that come in and the player's willingness.

In the most optimistic scenario, the sum of the three sales (Akor, Vargas, and Oso) could reach €60 million. This financial injection would allow Sevilla FC not only to balance its accounts but also to confidently tackle the pending signings needed to complete the squad for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Sevilla fans remain attentive to the movements in Nervión, hoping that these departures translate into quality reinforcements for the team.
