The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasts for this Thursday in Seville, little cloudy skies leading to a sunny day, with maximum temperatures of 37 degrees and minimums of 21.

The capital of Andalusia is preparing for a Thursday of full summer, with the mercury set to reach 37 degrees. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) announces a day of little cloudy skies during the early morning and first hours, which will give way to a clear panorama for the rest of the day. The minimums, on the other hand, will rise to 21 degrees, making the nights warm as well.

The wind will blow lightly from the southwest, just a breeze that won’t relieve the heat but will at least prevent the feeling of stuffiness. The thermometers, however, will remain far from the records expected for the weekend, when the heat is anticipated to intensify even more.

Friday: more heat, but no surprises

On Friday, the trend will be very similar, with clear skies and temperatures rising another notch: the maximum will reach 38 degrees and the minimum will stay at 22. Again, light winds from the southwest. Those with outdoor plans should seek the hours of less sun, as at noon the asphalt will be sizzling.

AEMET does not foresee abrupt changes in the atmosphere, so Seville residents can start preparing fans and bottles of water. However, Friday night will be more bearable than Thursday night, with slightly higher minimums.

Weekend turning point: mercury skyrockets on Sunday

On Saturday, the sky will remain little cloudy, but the big news will come with the temperatures: the maximum will exceed 40 degrees (specifically, 41 according to AEMET), while the minimum will be 23. A day at the beach or pool is almost mandatory for those who can.

On Sunday, however, the sun will not relent: completely clear skies and a maximum that will again hover around 40 degrees, with minimums of 23. Breezes will be almost non-existent, with calm directions. In short, air conditioning will be the best friend of the weekend.

AEMET reminds that these data are provisional and may be adjusted in upcoming updates. For those who have to work outdoors, it’s better to rise early and finish before the sun really heats up. And for anyone thinking that summer had taken a break, they can see that it hasn’t: Seville is Seville, and heat is its faithful companion.
