The Utrera City Council has launched the market 'Utrera, it already smells like Fair', which will take place on July 30 in La Vereda Park with 13 exhibitors and a flamenco fashion show.
The Utrera City Council, through the Economic Reactivation and Employment and Commerce departments, has promoted a new initiative aimed at energising the local commercial sector in the weeks leading up to the Fair and Festivals of Our Lady of Consolation. This is the market 'Utrera, it already smells like Fair', which will be held next Thursday, July 30, in La Vereda Park.
The event, which features 13 exhibitors, will offer flamenco fashion, accessories, and designs from young local creators. One of the highlights of the day will be a flamenco fashion show at 21:30, featuring Utrera designers Alejandro Postigo, Añil, Consolación Delgado, and D’Flamenca, who will present their collections and the latest trends for the fair.
The initiative has also been presented in Seville to give it greater visibility, at an event attended by the territorial delegate for Employment, Business and Self-Employment of the Junta de Andalucía in Seville, Antonio Augustín Vázquez, and the Sevillian artist Manuel Lombo, the godfather of this first edition. Lombo will also present his new fashion brand, By Lombo, in Utrera a day earlier, thus reinforcing his connection to the municipality.
The delegate for Economic Reactivation and Employment, Isabel González Blanquero, highlighted that "with this initiative we take a new step to strengthen the business fabric of our locality and continue generating opportunities." She also added that "the intention is for this initiative to become a fixed date on the calendar, growing and improving year after year."
For his part, the delegate for Commerce, José María Méndez, emphasised that "local commerce is one of the pillars of Utrera's economy and with initiatives like this we want to provide our establishments with a showcase to display the quality, variety, and talent that exists in our city."
The market 'Utrera, it already smells like Fair' presents itself as an experience that combines fashion, accessories, live music, and a space for interaction for locals and visitors. The initiative aims not only to boost local commerce sales but also to create a festive atmosphere that invites the people of Utrera to prepare for the fair.
The Fair and Festivals of Our Lady of Consolation is one of the most emblematic celebrations of Utrera and one of the periods of greatest economic activity for local commerce. With this proposal, the City Council aims to provide a showcase for establishments to display their products and attract a wider audience.
The flamenco fashion show will feature both established and emerging designers, allowing attendees to discover the latest trends in flamenco fashion. The event is on July 30 from 21:30 in La Vereda Park, with free entry.
