The Utrera City Council is tendering the supply of plants, bulbs, seeds, and substrates to replace lost specimens in parks and urban areas. The base contract is for 44,000 euros, and offers can be submitted until 20 October 2026.

The Utrera City Council, through the Department of Parks and Gardens, has tendered a contract for the supply of plants, bulbs, seeds, and gardening substrates. The aim is for municipal services to have sufficient materials to replace specimens that are lost or deteriorated in parks, landscaped areas, and various points of urban infrastructure.

The tender has a base budget of 44,000 euros, VAT included, and an estimated value of 120,000 euros if possible extensions are considered. The contract will initially last for one year from its formalisation and may be extended for two more years, in annual periods.

The contract is divided into two lots. The first, for horticultural and nursery products (plants, bulbs, and seeds), has a base budget of 40,216 euros, VAT included. The second, for gardening substrates and topsoil, amounts to 3,784 euros, VAT included.

The delegate for Parks and Gardens, J. María Méndez Lara, explained that the measure aims for workers to be able to act continuously throughout the city.

"We want to continue improving the vegetation of Utrera and have the necessary resources to act continuously wherever needed," said Méndez Lara.

The councillor added that the replenishment of plants is important to maintain green areas in good condition so that residents can enjoy them.

"It is not just about conserving what we have, but about continuing to advance so that this improvement is noticeable in the daily lives of citizens," he emphasised.

Interested companies can submit their offers electronically until 20 October 2026 at 23:59 hours. The tender is part of the department's efforts to improve the image and quality of public spaces in Utrera.
