The Town Hall of Las Cabezas de San Juan has begun the construction of five public rental homes on Santa Ana Street. The project is financed 50% by the Provincial Council of Seville.

The works for the five single-family homes on Santa Ana Street are already underway. According to the Town Hall of Las Cabezas de San Juan, this is the first time in 19 years that the council is promoting the construction of homes owned by the municipality, and it is doing so with entirely public funding.

The total budget amounts to €521,938.23. The Provincial Council of Seville contributes half, €260,969.12, with the Town Hall covering the rest, in a shared financing of 50%.

The mayor, Pepe Solano, visited the site this week accompanied by the Urban Planning delegate and other members of the Corporation. Present were the project architect, Rafael Estévez, municipal technicians, and the head of the awarded company, who reviewed the progress of the works.

Each home will have 85 square metres of constructed area and will be distributed over two floors. The ground floor will feature a living-dining room, kitchen, a bathroom, and the access staircase. The upper floor will contain three bedrooms and a second bathroom, as well as an interior patio in the plans.

To qualify for one of these homes, the Urban Planning delegate has revealed some anticipated requirements, still pending the final regulations: being registered in the Register of Applicants for Protected Housing, not owning a home, not having been awarded another public promotion, and not exceeding an income equivalent to 3.5 times the IPREM.

The Town Hall is currently drafting the allocation regulations, which will be made public to ensure the process is transparent. Those who are not yet registered can do so on the ground floor of the municipal building of Rincón Malillo, the former Ugía building.
