The Municipal Theatre Enrique de la Cuadra in Utrera has presented its programme for the last quarter of 2026, featuring over twenty shows that include theatre, comedy, dance, flamenco, jazz, and family-friendly proposals. The season kicks off on 2nd October with Imanol Arias and María Barranco.
The Culture Department of the Utrera City Council has unveiled the agenda for the Municipal Theatre Enrique de la Cuadra for the months of October, November, and December. The programme combines big names from the national scene with local companies and traditional events in the city.
The opening will be on Friday, 2nd October at 20:30 with the comedy Better Not Say It, by Pentación Espectáculos, starring Imanol Arias and María Barranco. The play explores what happens when a couple decides to tell each other the whole truth without filters.
The family audience will have their first appointment on Sunday, 4th October at 12:30 with I'm Wild!, by La Maquiné, a production for children aged four and over that mixes actors, puppets, masks, and projections, as part of the Andalusian Network of Public Theatres.
On 9th, 10th, and 11th October, at 20:30, the VI National Amateur Theatre Showcase 'Hermanos Álvarez Quintero' will take place, organised by Guate Teatro and the Utrera City Council. This edition has received over a hundred works for selection.
Comedy will return on Friday, 16th October with Pajamas for Six, by Descalzo Producciones, featuring Gabino Diego in the cast. It will be at 20:30 and is also part of the Andalusian Network of Public Theatres.
On Sunday, 18th October, at 12:30, contemporary dance will take the stage with It's About Bach, by Aracaladanza, included in the CIPAEM programme. The production was a finalist in the MAX Awards 2025 and won the TALIA Award 2025 for Best Scenography.
October will close on Saturday, 31st at 20:30 with Don Juan Tenorio, by the Utrera company Guate Teatro, which has been performing this classic by José Zorrilla for over a quarter of a century with more than ten actors on stage.
November will begin on Friday, 6th at 20:30 with Murder on the Orient Express, a theatrical adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel produced by Espectáculos Pinkerton within the CIPAEM programme, featuring eleven performers.
Music will play a special role with the XXXIII Jazz Festival in the Province, organised by the Diputación de Sevilla. On 12th November, at 20:30, Peter Bernstein & Steve Cardenas 4tet will perform alongside Ben Allison and Matt Wilson. A week later, on 19th November, it will be the turn of Martha High & Julián Maeso Organ Trio, with funk, soul, swing, and boogaloo.
Humour will return on 13th November with Álex O'Dogherty and his monologue Older Words, included in the Andalusian Network of Public Theatres, where he addresses topics such as artificial intelligence and the current pace of life with irony.
On 16th November, Flamenco Day, the theatre will host a show from the IV Flamenco Cycle of November at 20:30.
On Friday, 20th November, at 20:30, The Worst Show in the World, for Now!!, by Zaguango Teatro, featuring Txubio Fernández de Jáuregui, will arrive, a comedy about the expectations of success.
The flamenco programme will continue on Sunday, 22nd November at 12:30 with the XLII Mostachón Festival, organised by the Peña Cultural Flamenca 'Curro de Utrera' in collaboration with the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco and the Utrera City Council. Tickets will be by invitation, and details of the tribute will be presented soon.
November will bid farewell on Sunday, 29th at 12:30 with Little Bugs, by Spasmo Teatro, a humorous show with puppets, actors, and videomapping about invertebrate animals.
The programme will be completed in December with new proposals, including the presence of Paloma San Basilio, as announced by the organisation.
