The City Council of Dos Hermanas and EMASESA will open the Laguna de Fuente del Rey on Sunday 25 October, with environmental activities, botanical tours, and photography proposals.
The Laguna de Fuente del Rey will welcome residents on Sunday 25 October for an open day held in celebration of the International Day against Climate Change. The initiative is organized by the City Council of Dos Hermanas and EMASESA, blending environmental awareness with photography.
The environmental activities will take place from 10:00 to 14:00. They include “Biodiversity with magnifying glasses”, “Stop wet wipes”, and the escape room game “Traffic jams”, focusing on biodiversity conservation, waste management, and the care of sanitation networks.
In the morning, there will also be guided botanical tours in two shifts, from 10:30 to 12:00 and from 12:00 to 13:00. The tours will help participants learn about the vegetation in the area and the environmental values of the lagoon.
At the same time, the association Fotografiandolanoche, in collaboration with the City Council, is organizing the meeting “Objective. A day of photography to create”, which will take place from 10:00 to 17:00. The spots, with a capacity of 50 participants, are already fully booked.
The meeting will consist of five sessions: lighting in natural environments, with Manolo Navarro; camera conservation, with Héctor Pérez; black and white analogue techniques, with Gaspar Morales; landscape and nature photography, with Rafa and Javi Ramos; and a talk on the evolution of photography titled “From click to prompt”, led by Joaquín Márquez.
For residents, the coincidence of both proposals allows for a morning spent in the lagoon's surroundings, learning about its care and viewing it through a camera. The City Council invites everyone to participate in the open day activities on Sunday 25 October at the Laguna de Fuente del Rey.
