The summer cultural programme of Alcalá de Guadaíra continues in August with new events. The immersive route 'Searching for Oz' returns and the circus show 'Cateura' arrives at La Harinera.
The Noctaíra 2026 programme in Alcalá de Guadaíra enters its second month of activity with a schedule that shows no signs of slowing down. After an intense July, August maintains the theatrical routes on Tuesdays and adds circus, theatre, and new stage performances at La Harinera del Guadaíra and the Castle.
The delegate for Tourism and Culture, Christopher Rivas, has highlighted that “the proposals of Noctaíra for the summer nights attract the public due to their variety and quality, allowing citizens and visitors to enjoy culture and leisure, and to discover unique places in the city, which are also part of our rich historical, architectural, and natural heritage.”
This Tuesday, August 4, “Searching for Oz” returns, an immersive proposal that the public is eagerly anticipating. The performances take place every Tuesday in July and August at Parque del Dragón at 10 PM, with groups of up to one hundred spectators. Tickets are free with prior reservation and can be obtained one week before each performance through the municipal ticketing website: entradas.alcaladeguadaira.es.
The following day, Wednesday, August 5, the event is at La Harinera del Guadaíra with “Cateura”, by the Circo Alas Company. This is a circus, music, and acrobatics show for the whole family that invites reflection, in an exciting and poetic way, on caring for the planet and the journey of our waste. The performance will start at 10 PM and entry is free until full capacity is reached.
Noctaíra is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year under the slogan “10 years illuminating the nights of Alcalá”, with nearly fifty activities spread between July and September. The programme has established itself as one of the most comprehensive and participatory summer cultural offerings in Andalusia, according to the City Council.
The residents of Alcalá de Guadaíra and those holidaying in the region thus have a varied cultural agenda for the nights of August, with options for both adults and family audiences. Reservations for activities with limited capacity are managed through the municipal ticketing platform.
