The cultural programme Noctaíra 2026, celebrating its tenth anniversary in Alcalá de Guadaíra, has concluded July with over 3,500 participants and a massive public response.
Alcalá de Guadaíra has experienced a culturally intense July thanks to Noctaíra, the summer programme that this year marks its tenth edition and has managed to gather over 3,500 people for its activities. This figure, confirmed by the City Council, exceeds expectations and consolidates the event as one of the major highlights of summer in the province of Seville.
The municipal delegate for Tourism and Culture, Christopher Rivas, has positively assessed the balance of the first month of programming. “The public's response shows that there is a strong commitment to quality cultural programming,” he noted, highlighting that Noctaíra grows with each edition and energises the city during summer nights.
The heritage spaces have been the main stages of this edition. The Castle of Alcalá, the Dragon Park, the San Miguel Centre, the Riberas del Guadaíra Auditorium Gardens, and, as a new addition, La Harinera del Guadaíra have hosted a varied programme that has combined concerts, adult theatre, flamenco recitals, theatrical routes, and family shows.
The inclusion of La Harinera as a new performance space has been one of the milestones of July. The former industrial building has launched its programming with a family theatre proposal, expanding the cultural offer and bringing activities closer to new audiences, according to the City Council.
Among the most popular activities were the theatrical routes ‘Searching for Oz’, which repeated their success in participation. Concerts and performances held at the Castle also recorded significant attendance, with an audience that mixed local residents with visitors from other municipalities in the province.
The programme does not stop in August. The theatrical routes on Tuesdays will continue, and circus shows, theatre, and new performances will be added at La Harinera and the Castle. The August programming aims to make culture the protagonist of Alcalá's summer nights.
In total, Noctaíra 2026 has scheduled nearly fifty activities between July and September. The slogan for this tenth anniversary, ‘10 years illuminating the nights of Alcalá’, summarises the trajectory of a programme that has earned a place in the Andalusian cultural agenda.
