The Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council has opened the application period for grants amounting to €350,000 for social action projects. Interested entities have until July 23 to submit their proposals.
The Alcalá council has launched a new call for aid aimed at social action entities in the locality, with a total allocation of €350,000. The application period is now open and will close on July 23.
Five lines of grants to cover different needs
The grants are structured into five distinct areas. The first is focused on participation and volunteering in the field of social services. The second line focuses on preventing exclusion and promoting social inclusion.
The third area is dedicated to the protection of children and adolescents, while the fourth addresses the prevention of dependency, the promotion of personal autonomy, and active aging. Finally, the fifth line funds projects for the prevention, care, and promotion of people with disabilities.
The municipal delegate encourages entities to participate
The municipal delegate for Social Services, Rocío Bastida, has encouraged groups to take advantage of the last days of processing. “This is a large-scale call, demonstrating the municipal commitment to equality and social cohesion,” she stated.
Bastida reminded that, as usual, her department has directly informed the entities and held an informational meeting to detail the bases and assist in the processing. “The local government's support for initiatives that enhance social participation and solidarity is ongoing,” she added.
A backing that positions Alcalá as a reference in social services
The councillor emphasised that “Alcalá is publicly recognised for its investment and attention in Social Services, for the exemplary solidarity of the population, organised in groups and social entities.” For Bastida, this is “one of the most commendable characteristics of Alcalá and one that we should all be proud of.”
These grants aim to complement municipal actions and support vulnerable groups in the municipality. Interested entities can consult all the information and download the application on the municipal website.
