From September 2 to 6, the Youth House hosts an Erasmus+ meeting with participants from various countries to use art as a tool for inclusion.
A group of young people from different European countries has been participating since September 2 in Alcalá de Guadaíra in a meeting focused on theatre, artistic creation, and social inclusion. The initiative, which takes place at the Youth House, is part of an Erasmus+ KA210 Action project and aims to share experiences through art.
The participants arrived in the city on September 1 and activities began the next day with the proposal “Theatre for All”. Yesterday, they attended the performance of the play “Ellas”, which was showcased in Alcalá by invitation of Theatre for All.
Today, the Youth Delegate, Paula Fuster, has been present at the activities “Synergies” and “Opportunity Neighbourhood”, designed to explore the meeting between participants through different artistic and social languages. The programme will conclude tomorrow, Sunday, with a cultural activity in Seville before the young people's departure.
The project is based on the direct participation of young people: each involved organization contributes activities and experiences related to theatre, artistic expression, and intercultural dialogue. During these days, a collective short film will be shot that reflects how culture and the arts can promote participation, understanding among people from different backgrounds, and social inclusion.
Among the initiatives linked to the project is the Social Film Festival Artelesia, organized by the Italian association Libero Teatro, based in Benevento. This festival will celebrate its fifteenth edition in 2026 and is dedicated to social cinema, using short films, theatre, and other artistic disciplines as tools for awareness and inclusion, with special attention to young people and the educational field.
The meeting concludes on September 6, leaving Alcalá de Guadaíra with a cultural exchange experience that seeks to break down social barriers through art.
