The Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council has held an information session to explain access to the 107 homes for sale and 84 affordable rentals. Over 730 queries have been recorded since the promotions were announced.
The Alcalá de Guadaíra City Council, through VIVE ALCALÁ, held an information session at the Youth Centre to address questions about the new promotions of protected housing. The delegate for Urban Planning and Strategic Planning, Jesús Mora, and the manager of VIVE ALCALÁ, Ricardo Martínez, attended to residents interested in learning the details of the allocation process.
During the session, the functioning of the Municipal Register of Applicants for Protected Housing was explained step by step, along with the access requirements and necessary documentation. Additionally, the characteristics of the two promotions were detailed: 107 homes for sale on Avenida Mar Mediterráneo and 84 affordable rental homes, addressing aspects such as economic requirements, down payments, and the expected timeline.
Over 730 queries addressed
The interest in the municipal housing policy has translated into intense activity at VIVE ALCALÁ. To date, the technical team has handled over 730 queries in person, by phone, via email, and through social media. The City Council emphasises that this continuous support is key for residents to complete their registration without errors.
One of the most highlighted points was the importance of the digital certificate. Although it is not mandatory for registration, it facilitates interaction with the Administration: it allows for document submission, file consultation, and receipt of electronic notifications without the need to travel. Attendees were able to resolve questions about how to obtain and use it.
Key deadline: July 31
The City Council reminded that July 31 is the maximum guaranteed deadline for new registrations and data modifications to be processed and corrected in time to participate in the draw for the 107 homes for sale. Those already registered in the municipal register do not need to carry out any additional procedures.
The allocation procedure will include the approval of the regulatory bases, the publication of a provisional list of accepted and rejected applicants, a correction period, and finally, a public draw before a notary scheduled for the last quarter of the year. VIVE ALCALÁ insists that citizens can resolve any doubts through their usual channels: in person, by phone, email, or on the website.
Frequently asked questions answered
During the session, the most common doubts were also addressed. For example, how economic requirements are calculated: it is not based on the monthly salary, but on the sum of boxes 435 and 460 of the income tax return of the household unit, including other incomes or benefits. It was also clarified that one cannot own another home to access a protected one, except for exceptions such as small inherited shares or separation situations.
Regarding documentation, each case is particular, but generally, a standard application, ID card, proof of residence, and economic documentation are needed. VIVE ALCALÁ recommends checking the official website to know the specific requirements and avoid surprises. With over 730 queries already addressed, the process is moving steadily towards the public draw.
