Tomares celebrates this Friday, September 4, its third major day of the Fair with the traditional Rice Contest and the performance of the Sevillian group Siempre Así at midnight.
The Tomares Fair faces this Friday, September 4, its third day of high attendance on a day that will be local holiday. The programme combines gastronomic tradition with concerts that will last until dawn in the Real.
The morning will kick off at 12:00 hours with the celebration of the XII Rice Contest in the Municipal Tent. From 14:30 hours, attendees will be able to taste the dishes presented by the participants, and at 16:00 hours the awards will be presented for both the best rice dishes and the winners of the Booth Contest.
In the afternoon, the entertainment will continue in the Municipal Tent with the Sugar Orchestra, which will perform in two sessions: at 21:30 hours and at 02:00 hours.
At 22:30 hours, the singer Belén de los Reyes, a resident of Tomares and winner of the Naranjito de Triana 2025 Award in the Flamenco Talent Singing Contest of the Cristina Heeren Foundation, will take the stage. The young promise of cante jondo will precede the main act of the night.
At 00:00 hours, Siempre Así, the legendary Sevillian group, will perform, revisiting hits such as 'Te Estoy Queriendo Tanto', 'A Mi Manera', 'Para Volver a Volver' or 'Se me va'. The concert is expected to get the entire audience present in the Real singing and dancing.
Throughout the day, the Tombola of the Sacramental Brotherhood, the origin of the Fair, will distribute hundreds of gifts as an additional attraction for attendees.
The Tomares Fair will continue on Saturday 5 with performances by Ely Silva, Agustele, David Civera, and Peterpunk & The Diablo Band, and will close on Sunday 6 with the Children's Gala at 13:00 hours and free pizza for children from 14:00 hours.
