Moron artist Marina Ortiz (Stylocollages) has won the first edition of 'Dame el Búcaro' and her work 'Ojos Verdes' will be the image of the XLIII El Búcaro Flamenco Festival, which will take place on September 18 in La Rinconada.

The artist from Morón de la Frontera, Marina Ortiz, known artistically as Stylocollages, has been the winner of the first edition of the 'Dame el Búcaro' project. Her work, titled 'Ojos Verdes', has become the official image of the XLIII El Búcaro Flamenco Festival, which will be held on September 18 at the Hacienda Santa Cruz in La Rinconada.

The jury chose her proposal from nearly 50 works submitted by contemporary artists from various parts of Andalusia. Ortiz's creation, which is based on the intervention of a traditional white clay búcaro, was highly valued for its dialogue between art and the lyrics of flamenco.

This recognition represents significant support for the artistic talent of Morón de la Frontera. In fact, ten Moron artists were selected to participate in this first edition of 'Dame el Búcaro', a notable representation among the fifty creators involved in the initiative.

In addition to the official poster, the twelve works shortlisted for the final, four of which belong to artists from Morón, have been used to create the posters promoting the performances of each of the artists included in the festival's lineup.

The XLIII El Búcaro Flamenco Festival, organised by the Peña Cultural Flamenca El Búcaro in collaboration with the La Rinconada City Council, will feature top-level figures on stage such as El Pele, Consuelo Haldón, Rubito Hijo, Caracolillo de Cádiz, and Fernando El Goyo, accompanied by prominent guitarists and rhythm artists.

For the La Rinconada City Council, the 'Dame el Búcaro' project also represents the creation of a unique collection of contemporary pieces that engage in dialogue between art and flamenco. The initiative invited each artist to intervene with a white clay búcaro, with the condition that their creation be inspired by the universe of flamenco lyrics.

The selection of Marina Ortiz as the author of the official poster is a source of pride for Morón de la Frontera and a new recognition of the talent of local creators. The presence and projection of Moron artists in cultural initiatives at the provincial level continue to grow, placing the name of Morón as an artistic reference both within and outside the province.

The festival, one of the most established and prestigious in the province of Seville, will take place at the Hacienda Santa Cruz in La Rinconada on September 18. Tickets and the complete programme can be consulted through the Peña Cultural Flamenca El Búcaro.
