The La Rinconada Town Hall has invested around €40,000 to modernise the playground area on Saeta Street, next to the 20 de Julio Active Participation Centre. The flooring and games have been replaced with more inclusive options.
The La Rinconada Town Hall has completed the renovation of the children's area located on Saeta Street, next to the 20 de Julio Active Participation Centre. The work, carried out by the Public Infrastructure department, included the replacement of the rubber flooring and the children's attractions.
The new flooring provides better cushioning against potential falls, while the installed games are more modern and inclusive, designed so that children with functional diversity can also enjoy them. This action is part of the comprehensive plan that the council is developing to adapt all recreational spaces in the municipality.
The investment has amounted to around €40,000, charged to the budget of the Public Infrastructure department. The councillor in charge, Rafael Reyes, visited the completed works accompanied by the delegate for Childhood, Mercedes Bueno.
“We continue to reform and modernise the children's areas of the parks in the municipality with safer, accessible, and inclusive equipment, ensuring that all children can enjoy them on equal terms. Our goal is to maintain quality public spaces, adapted to the current needs of families and designed for meeting and coexistence in our neighbourhoods,” Reyes stated.
With this intervention, the municipal area continues with its emergency plan to gradually renew the children's parks in La Rinconada, improving the safety and accessibility of these everyday spaces for families in the municipality.
