The Town Hall of Guillena has concluded this Friday the XXVII edition of the Environmental Schools, which brought together around 130 children aged 6 to 12 from Guillena, Torre de la Reina, and Las Pajanosas.
The Youth and Childhood Department of the Town Hall of Guillena closed this Friday, August 7, the XXVII edition of the Environmental Schools, a programme that has gathered during the summer around 130 boys and girls aged 6 to 12 from Guillena, Torre de la Reina, and Las Pajanosas. The initiative started on July 6 and has taken place from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The activities have been held in the music classrooms of the Municipal School of Music and the Municipal Training Centre of Guillena, as well as in the civic centres and youth houses of Las Pajanosas and Torre de la Reina. Participation has been completely free for families.
To manage the groups, the Town Hall issued a job call to select six monitors, who have accompanied the children throughout the edition.
The Environmental Schools are part of the Childhood Dynamisation Programme of the Provincial Council of Seville, an initiative aimed at promoting values such as respect for the environment, solidarity, tolerance, and integration in a transversal manner. Through games, crafts, and recycling workshops, participants have combined fun with ecological awareness.
With this closure, the municipality concludes a new edition of a programme that has established itself as one of the summer offerings for the little ones, with a reception that remains stable year after year.
